In Their Own Words | School Cash Debate

SDPB

One House Bill requires any school-related event to accept cash payments.

It comes after some schools in the past year turned to card-only payments for events.

Lawmakers debated whether the bill restricts local control or reenforces privacy with financial transactions.

We hear the debate on the House floor In Their Own Words.

The House killed the bill 34-32. Two members were unable to vote on the bill.
