The Joint Committee on Appropriations is advancing a bill creating grants that allow airports in the state to expand and make improvements.
This comes after numerous airports across South Dakota have expressed interest in expanding. That includes Rapid City and Sioux Falls.
The bill allocates $30 million from the general fund for the Aeronautics Commission to award.
