The results are in for Rapid City, and changes loom for local government.

Dr. Stephen (TA-mang) Tamang has taken outgoing alderman Jesse Ham’s ward one seat, and Lance (Lee-man) Lehman fended off challenger Eltina Three Stars in ward 4.

Callie Meyer has defeated incumbent Pat Roseland in ward 5 by just over 100 votes.

At the school board, incumbent Michael (BURKE-land) Birkeland was unseated by Angela Bradsky Rafferty.

In the tightest race, incumbent Jamie Clapham defeated Brian Johnson by 3 votes, highlighting the importance of turnout in local elections.

All results are subject to potential recounts.
