This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

Cleveland Abbott was a descendent of slavery and raised in South Dakota. He worked with both Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver. He's most remembered for his stellar football career, including being a charter member of the National Football Hall of Fame.

Yet, many South Dakotans don't know the sports star's name.

Bruce Danielson is looking to change that. He will present "What One Brave Person can do to Change the World: The Cleveland Abbott Story" Monday night in Watertown. You can catch the presentation in the community room of the Watertown Regional Library at 7 p.m. CT.
