Gardening is a pastime shared by many individuals. Participants can pour into the hobby as much energy as they have to spare. Gardening is also a topic that inspires lifelong learning.
Chef MJ Adams, host of Savor Dakota, visits with Mary Trykoski of Rapid City. Mary is an active member and president of the Pennington County Master Gardeners.
Master Gardening programs across the country provide an opportunity for interested folks to expand their knowledge of plants and contribute to their communities. SDSU Extension office offers support for the program in South Dakota.
Clubs in each region of the state offer a chance to connect with others and share resources.

Master Gardening groups often provide outreach support to others in their community and offer instruction to interested groups. Sponsoring a club project like a public garden is also common. Social Media helps facilitate the exchange of ideas with folks around South Dakota.
