In the Moment is SDPB’s daily news and arts program.

Landsat 9 is the most advanced satellite to study Earth from above for the United States Landsat program. It's a joint effort from NASA and the U.S. Geological Survey. We preview today's launch and what it means for studying our planet.

A group called Drawn Together South Dakota is circulating petitions to get an anti-gerrymandering ballot question in front of voters. SDPB's Lee Strubinger reports on the efforts to gather signatures in Sioux Falls.

Author Ruth Ozeki believes all objects have stories inside them. That idea led to her latest novel "The Book of Form and Emptiness." We talk with the author about the nature of reality, the role of books in our lives, and what happens when we learn to listen to the stories inside of us.

On this day in 1927, about 500 members of the Ku Klux Klan marched in downtown Sioux Falls. We explore the rise, the racism, and the fading of the South Dakota "Klavern."

South Dakota Magazine Managing Editor John Andrews searches for a "smoking gun" in the assassination of Wild Bill Hickock in 1876. We talk with Andrews about conspiracy theories, prairie politics, and the passion of Yankton historian Bob Hanson.

The show must go on, until it doesn't. COVID upended production schedules for the Black Hills Community Theatre. We visit with Artistic Director Jayme Kilburn about moving on through a pandemic.

In the Moment airs live at 12CT/11MT. The audio from the day's show is attached soon after the show airs.
