South Dakota Symphony Orchestra maestro Delta David Gier returns to In the Moment. We preview the upcoming season of an organization the New Yorker Magazine calls "One of America's Boldest Orchestras." In an upcoming show, Pianist and composer Conrad Tao plays Tchaikovsky.

Ranchers are preparing their livestock for the winter. Lura Roti takes us to a ranch in northwest South Dakota where the Painter Family brings the cattle closer to home.

Larry Zikmund is a Republican running for re-election as state senator in District 14. He joins us for our Meet the Candidates series.

We visit SiouxperCon and meet comic book artist Tyler Walpole.
