Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland was in South Dakota earlier this month to hear stories from Native American elders about the abuse they experienced at Indian boarding schools. At boarding schools, students were punished for speaking their language and sharing their culture. Today, a new generation of students can sing their native songs with pride. We hear music from the Rosebud Singers from Rosebud elementary.

We visit Mission, SD to learn about an equine therapy service that is working to improve the lives of children and families with emotional and behavioral disturbances. Richard Two Bulls has the story.
