Remembering Hugh Weber

Lori Walsh

On today's In the Moment...

Hugh Weber was a network theorist, a community designer, an author and publisher, as well as a husband and father. He passed away on Wednesday. We bring you a conversation with him from January.

Two houses were destroyed in natural gas explosions in recent weeks. We talk to South Dakota Public Utilities Commission chairperson Kristie Fiegen about what caused the explosions and how you can keep your home safe.

We'll hear a fiery debate on a proposed civics course requirement for legislators. Listen to the discussion that literally set off alarm bells.

Plus, hear new music on Fresh Tracks. David Hersrud and Larry Rohrer also offer up an examination of what's playing on public radio.

Lori Walsh is a special correspondent with SDPB and host of the "In the Moment" podcast.
Ellen Koester served as a producer of "In the Moment," SDPB's daily news and culture broadcast.
