Meet the 2024 South Dakota One Book

On today's show...

Two obstetricians testified on opposite sides of the abortion issue before the House State Affairs committee. We hear their testimony in their own words.

We ask Jennifer Widman what makes a great pick for the South Dakota One Book. Widman is the Center for the Book director and interim executive director at the South Dakota Humanities Council.

She discusses what she found compelling about "Little and Often" and the types of conversations she hopes it'll spark across the state.

Then, we hear from the author himself. Trent Preszler's book explores his relationship with his dad and his childhood on a ranch near Faith, South Dakota. And why he left the state.

We talk about how he built a canoe to work through the loss of his father while also reconnecting with his South Dakota roots.

Lura Roti caught up with University of Sioux Falls student-athlete Eva Studt to ask how running helps her manage her ADHD. Watch this story.

And Studt stops by the SDPB studio to talk about the power of understanding how your brain works.
