Child care worker incentives bill advances in the Legislature

On today's show...

The child care crisis has yet to see a legislative solution. A new bill that provides incentives for child care employees may change that.

Proponents say it would address the worker shortage. Opponents point to ongoing shortages across industries and ask why child care gets singled out.

We discuss the goals and critiques of House Bill 1132 with the bill's prime sponsor, Rep. Erin Healy (1:00 to 11:55).

The Supreme Court hears arguments for Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. vs. Estados Unidos Mexicanos on Tuesday. Mike Thompson, J.D., takes listeners into the unique case. Can Mexico sue U.S. gun manufacturers (11:55 to 22:45)?

Plus, Teacher Talk dives into how teachers can impart social-emotional skills to students (22:45 to 49:13).
