Sioux Falls Lincoln Head Football Coach Aaron Beavers Resigns

Aaron Beavers of the Lincoln High School football program has resigned as the teams head coach. According to multiple reports in the Sioux Falls area, the players were made aware of the change on Thursday before practice.

Beavers spent sixteen years with the Patriots football program – he was the head coach for fourteen of them.

He won three state football titles with Lincoln High School, including 2013 and 2014.

As of right now there is no official report as to what led to his resignation. Defensive Coordinator Brian Bechard has been named the interim head coach – per the South Dakota High School Activities Association.

The Lincoln Patriots are currently 2-2 on the season. They play against Aberdeen Central on Friday night.
