The National Football League has invited 326 players to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis from February 27 – March 5. Both Dallas Goedert and Jake Wieneke from South Dakota State University are included on the list.
Goedert is one of 17 tight ends who received a combine invite this week. Throughout his career at SDSU, he had 198 receptions for a total of 2,988 receiving yards and 21 touchdown receptions.
Wieneke, along with 43 other wide receivers will make the trip to Indianapolis for the combine. During his time with the Jackrabbits, he had 288 receptions for a total of 5,157 receiving yards. Wieneke also hauled in 59-touchdown catches throughout his four-year collegiate career.
This years National Football League draft will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on April 26-28. It’s unknown where Wieneke and Goedert will get drafted this spring. Goedert has been projected to go as early as the first round, while Wieneke is projected to go anywhere from the fourth to seventh round.
In total, the Missouri Valley Football Conference had four players invited to the NFL Combine this year. Joining Wieneke and Goedert in Indianapolis at the end of February will be Davontae Harris (CB) of Illinois State and Nick Deluca (OLB) of North Dakota State.
