As high school wrestling fans flock to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center this week, the event center is making plans to accommodate the large crowds.

Along with the state wrestling championships, the convention center and Sioux Falls Arena, which are right next door to the PREMIER Center, will host the Sioux Empire Home Show.

A shuttle service will be available for those wishing to attend either event.

“The free park-and-ride shuttle service will begin at 8 am Friday and Saturday with service running between the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds east paved parking lot and the PREMIER Center,” said Rick Huffman, Director of Sales and Public Relations for the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. “Shuttle service will end at 11 pm Friday and 10 pm Saturday, or until the last person has returned to their vehicle.”

People will still have the option to park at or near the events center if they wish, but as crowds get larger - it could become difficult for people to find a place to park.

“Free parking is available in the four lots at the PREMIER Center,” said Huffman. “Additional parking is available at McCart Fields located a few blocks south of the PREMIER Center on Western Avenue, as well as on the streets south and east of the facility, allowing people to walk to the venue.”

The State Wrestling Championships begin Friday morning on February 23rd and will conclude on Saturday evening February 24th.
