On Tuesday evening, Dell Rapids defeated McCook Miner 10-7 to win the American Legion ‘B’ State Championship crown.
Entering the bottom of the 7th inning, McCook-Miner held a lead of 7-4, but a desperation rally by Dell Rapids tied the game at 7-7.
Elijah Story of Dell Rapids ended it in heroic fashion in the bottom of the 8th (extra innings) with a three-run walk off homerun – sealing the victory and state title for Dell Rapids Post 65.
