SDSU and USD Spring Football Schedules

SDSU and USD Football Seasons

The Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) went a different route than the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) with its college football season this school year. While the FBS just wrapped up its action this month with Alabama winning the National Championship, the FCS plans to run its season this spring – starting in February.

Both South Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota are members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference, which is under the umbrella of the FCS division one football league. Here’s what the schedules for both SDSU and USD will look like this spring.

South Dakota State University

SDSU @ Northern Iowa – February 19th

SDSU @ North Dakota – February 27th

SDSU vs Western Illinois – March 6th

SDSU vs Youngstown State – March 13th

SDSU @ Southern Illinois March 20th

SDSU vs Illinois State – March 27th

SDSU @ North Dakota State – April 3rd

The FCS is also planning a traditional post-season bracket with the top sixteen teams qualifying for the playoffs, which are schedule to start April 24th. The FCS National Championship game is scheduled for Sunday May 16th in Frisco, Texas. North Dakota State has won eight of the past nine national football titles, which includes the past three.
