Harrisburg’s Hailee Christensen named high school All-American in soccer

Harrisburg junior soccer stand out Hailee Christensen has been named a high school All-American. The United Soccer Coaches announced a list of 143 national athletes on Monday, 81 boys and 62 girls. Christensen is the lone South Dakotan receiving this honor for the 2022 fall season.

Christensen reacted to the announcement on Tuesday.

On Monday, she also announced her commitment to South Dakota State University for soccer.

Harrisburg is coming off its first state championship season in ‘AA’ girls soccer. The Tigers defeated Aberdeen Central 2-1 in the state title match this October.

Throughout the 2022 fall high school season, Christensen scored 35 goals and recorded 20 assists.

An All-American ceremony will take place on Saturday January 14th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
