Sections of the Recreation Trail in Sioux Falls are closing temporarily for maintenance.

Beginning June 20, a four-mile stretch from Beadle Park to Tuthill Park is closing. Starting July 1, crews are closing two-and-a-half miles from 12th street to 41st street.

The Parks and Recreation Department said they’re applying a seal coat in these areas to extend the trail’s lifespan. Each stretch should take just under two weeks to complete.
