World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider Chad Ferley

Saddle bronc rider Chad Ferley of Oelrichs won the World Champion Bronc Riding championship over the weekend at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.  He also won it in 2006.  Ferley, 33, joined the PRCA in 2001.  He won a world title in 2006 and currently ranks 3rd in world standings for saddle bronc riding.  This year, Ferley has won the Justin Boots Championship in Omaha, the Reno Rodeo, the Caldwell Night Rodeo in Idaho, the Greeley Stampede, the Clark County Fair and Rodeo in Logandale, Nevada, the Iowa Championship Rodeo in Sidney, Iowa, the Dayton Iowa Championship Rodeo, and was co-champion at the Cheyenne Frontier Days.  Ferley cites five-time world champion Billy Etbauer as his idol.
