Deuel Cardinals

Craig Mattick's guest on this episode of In Play holds the South Dakota state record with 19 individual gymnastics titles, a mark that has stood for more than 13 years. She is one of only a handful of South Dakota gymnasts to compete at the collegiate level, the former Deuel Cardinal, Samantha Wiekamp Sadler.

Deuel captured their first sanctioned state softball championship with a 3-1 victory on Saturday in Aberdeen at the ‘B’ tournament.

The Deuel Cardinals have been atop the standings in ‘A’ gymnastics for the past two years now. And this week, the squad will aim to make it three state championships in a row.
