Marc Lynch, Director of the Middle East Studies Program at George Washington University, is one of the world's leading experts on Middle Eastern studies and societies. Lynch publishes frequently about the politics of the Middle East and was one of the first to anticipate the impact of new social media on Arab politics. He'll deliver the speech, "Understanding Muslim Societies," at the South Dakota State University McCrory Gardens Education and Visitor Center Thursday at 7 p.m.
