Images Of The Past - Joseph Hutton

In The Moment ... February 25, 2019 Show 522 Hour 2

Joseph Hutton had quite a bit of knowledge of soil science. Hutton was a professor of agronomy at South Dakota State University from 1911 until 1939. His knowledge was so deep that it allowed him to foresee the Dust Bowl before it happened. Gwen McCausland is the director of the SD Agricultural Heritage Museum in Brookings. She joins us today with more on Mr. Hutton in today's Images of the Past.

Lori Walsh is a special correspondent with SDPB and host of the "In the Moment" podcast.
