Linda Boyle: Songs and spirituality of the Black Hills

Amber Zora

This interview posted above is from SDPB's daily public-affairs show, In the Moment, hosted by Lori Walsh.

Linda Boyle has made it her mission to tell the stories of the Black Hills through song. In Illinois and South Dakota she has presented music and educational workshops for children and adults.

Boyle's work has a strong sense of place, with themes of spirituality, multiculturalism, and love for mother nature. She joins Lori Walsh on In the Moment to discuss how the Black Hills have informed her work as a musician, artist, writer, and educator.

She's also active in South Dakota's social justice scene, contributing to the Red Ribbon Skirt Society and Black Hills conservation efforts. You can learn more about Boyles music on her artist website.
