In 1994, a group of percussionists formed an independent drumline called SuFuDu. Today, they are a select group of percussionists from the Quad State area. In Season One of Dakota Life (Back in 1998!), we visited with the crew about their love of drumline.

The Dallas Brass, an internationally known brass ensemble that tours the country, is coming to Sioux Falls this week to perform at Jefferson High School. The ensemble consists of two trumpets, a French horn, a trombone, a tuba, and a percussionist. One of their trumpet players, Luis Cardenas Casillas, grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2009.
