The Czech Days Parade marched through the streets of Tabor today.

The annual event, in its 67th year, draws Czech heritage enthusiasts from Canton to California for events like the parade, polka dance-off, Beseda (a traditional Czech folk dance performed by 238 dancers) and kolache-making demonstrations.

This year’s Czech Days is dedicated to Mildred Cimpl, who was a pillar of the Tabor Czech community for many years, as a member of the Czech Heritage Preservation Society, a teacher of the Czech language to youth in the area and an actress in local Czech plays.
