Singers from area-wide churches located in the Black Hills will join as one voice in the performance of the Easter cantata, “What Love Is This?”. This 14th Sturgis-area cantata leads the listener along the way from Christ’s jubilant entrance into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday to the rugged path to the cross, a symbol of Christ’s sacrifice and love, and into the triumphant resurrection on Easter. The work is the creation of Lloyd Larson along with a collaboration of esteemed colleagues who share both superb musicianship and a deep faith.

Performances will be held on Palm Sunday, April 2nd, and Tuesday, April 4th, at 7:00 pm each evening at Grace Lutheran Church, located at 1061 Sherman Street in Sturgis. Marlene Kotab again conducts the 60-voice choir and Randy Bender will serve as narrator for the cantata. A reception in the church basement will follow each performance which is free to the public.
