The Sioux Empire Brass is presenting their Holiday Concert - Thanks and Praise on Sunday, November 23, 2025, 3:00 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3801 E 26th St, Sioux Falls. The Sioux Empire Brass is directed by Rolf Olson. The Sioux Empire Brass is a 35-piece brass choir made up of musicians from Sioux Falls and surrounding communities.
A freewill offering will be taken.

The National Music Museum presents an extraordinary evening with world-renowned violinist Rachel Barton Pine on Wednesday, December 3, at 7:00 p.m. in Vermillion, SD.
Hear Pine perform on two of the museum’s most treasured instruments: the 1668 Jacob Stainer violin—not played publicly since it arrived at the NMM in 1989—and the 1693 ‘Harrison’ Stradivari, last heard in 2003. The concert will also debut the 2025 ‘Harrison’ Strad 2.0, a faithful replica created by leading violin-making schools.

Celebrate the season with an old-fashioned holiday concert as beloved folk duo Curtis Teague and Loretta Simonet present A Victorian Christmas. Performing in authentic Victorian costumes, the pair bring to life the warmth and charm of Christmases past with heartfelt vocal harmonies, classic holiday songs, and audience sing-alongs. Their program features a delightful array of traditional instruments—including folk harp, mandolin, mandocello, harmonica, and celeste, a rare 19th-century acoustic keyboard with a bell-like sound.
Based in the Twin Cities, Curtis & Loretta have been performing together professionally for more than 40 years, bringing joy and authenticity to audiences across the Midwest, East and West Coasts, and the South. Known for their sincerity, humor, and deep musicality, they have been featured at Minneapolis’ A Victorian Christmas and Folkways of the Holidays at The Landing in Shakopee, and their holiday concerts are treasured by audiences of all ages.

Singers and bellringers from Sturgis and Whitewood continue a 46-year Christmas tradition when they join in song on Sunday, December 14th at 2:00pm at the Sturgis Community Center Theater. The Annual Community Christmas Concert, a favorite holiday tradition, has been performed consistently since 1979, when it first was held at Grace Lutheran Church.
Area church choirs are now beginning their rehearsals for this special event as they prepare for their individual performances. All choirs blend for the concert’s finale piece which will be directed by Marlene Kotab, choir director at Grace Lutheran Church.
All church choirs or ensembles are welcome to participate in the concert. New choirs are always invited to join and need only to contact Marlene Kotab, concert coordinator, by phone at 605-347-1375 or by email at [email protected] by December 1st. Any singer who does not belong to a church choir is still invited to sing with the mass group on the final number. Music is available upon request. One mass choir rehearsal is Wednesday, December 10th at 7:00pm at the theater.
