Black Hills Raptor Center hosts “Owl”-O-Ween Celebration and Trunk-or-Treat at Caputa SD

Join the Black Hills Raptor Center in celebrating “Owl”-O-Ween on Saturday, October 25 at the Black Hills Raptor Center facility, 15256 EAST Hwy 44, Rapid City. Families are invited to make a reservation and explore the world of owls and other raptors while trunk- or- treating. Costumes are encouraged!!
Black Hills Raptor Center volunteers will be on site with candy, activities, and education birds for participants to meet. Families can go Trunk- or- Treating, dissect owl pellets, pet black cats that can be adopted from the Black Hills Humane Society, make an owl related craft, enjoy face painting, take photos with a wizard, enjoy a scavenger hunt, and a bouncy house. There will be special guest raptors from Falconry and Education Group and Reptile Gardens.
Participants can also stop by the treatment center and take a tour. The facility is almost complete!
Reservations are required to help us keep the numbers of people on site manageable. The event is free, with a free will donation encouraged, or donation of a bottle of unflavored Pedialyte, a roll of paper towels, or a bottle of Dawn dishwashing detergent. Make your reservations now for one of 5 opportunities on Saturday, October 25. The first group will start at noon, and the final group for the afternoon will be at 4pm. Each group is limited to 130 people.
