The Department of Labor and Regulation Rapid City Job Service is hosting a “Hire the Hills” hiring event on Wednesday, June 25, from Noon to 2:00 p.m. MDT at 2330 N. Maple Ave. Job seekers can meet with employers, apply for jobs, and potentially interview on-site.
These free events offer businesses valuable opportunities to increase brand awareness, connect with a diverse pool of qualified candidates, engage directly with potential employees, and streamline the hiring process by saving time and resources.

The Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) will celebrate its 17th annual science festival, Neutrino Day, on Saturday, July 12. This free, citywide event fills the Lead community with fun and informative activities for curious minds of all ages!
Get ready for interactive hands-on science, art, speakers, entertainment, and virtual reality throughout various locations throughout Lead, including the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center, the Historic Homestake Opera House, and the Handley Recreation Center. We will will also be giving hoistroom and garden tours at SURF periodically throughout the day.
Neutrino Day activities, booths, and demonstrations start at 9 a.m. and wrap up at 3:30 p.m. with a final performance at the Homestake Opera House at 4:00 p.m.

The Inaugural #DoDeadwood Presents Deadwood Blues Festival is a three-day, city wide event celebrating Blues music in Historic Deadwood. From July 11-13, 2025, ticket holders will experience over a dozen local, regional and national blues bands playing at venues throughout town culminating in an electrifying evening at Outlaw Square featuring co-headliners Samantha Fish and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.
In addition to the Saturday shows, VIP ticket buyers will be invited to the La Aurora Cigar VIP Pre-Party at Deadwood Tobacco Company the night of Friday July 11th. Each VIP receives exclusive La Aurora cigars, Deadwood Blues Festival merchandise, and possible autographs and co-headliner Meet & Greet.
The Festival continues on Sunday July 13th with a Blues Brunch at Deadwood Mountain Grand featuring the best of the weekend’s performers throwing down. It all wraps up Sunday afternoon at Deadwood Tobacco with the presentation of checks to our charities, Shorty’s Rescue Inc. and the Lead-Deadwood School District Music Department.

The ADA Sioux Falls Committee and the City of Sioux Falls Disability Awareness and Accessibility Review Board (DAARB) are excited to announce The ADA Festival: Strengthening Connections & Moving Forward Together.
The milestone celebration being held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 5:00PM to 9:30PM looks to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the important day protections were guaranteed for people with disabilities with the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The celebration, first-of-its kind in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will honor the deeply interwoven connections we all share with people with disabilities, will foster opportunities for greater understanding and will look to the future as a community of diverse perspectives and abilities. The festival will take place at the Levitt at the Falls and include vendors, interactive booths, activities, food trucks, and more. The celebration will culminate with performances by artists with disabilities throughout the evening and a Proclamation from Mayor Paul TenHaken.
