St. Joseph's Indian School 46th Annual Powwow

On Friday, September 16, there will be cultural activities and performances at St. Joseph’s Recreation Center and Aktá Lakota Museum & Cultural Center, as well as tours of the school and health center. A dedication ceremony for the Equine Therapy Barn is planned for noon.
On Saturday, September 17, there will be tours of the students’ campus homes and Our Lady of the Sioux Chapel. Powwow Grand Entry is at noon, and Mass is at Our Lady of the Sioux Chapel at 5:00 p.m. At the end of the day, a complimentary dinner will be served, and prizes will be awarded to the dancers and drum groups.
All events are free, open to the public and handicap accessible.
