Wrestling - SDPB State Championship Coverage

Warren Williamson was the main component in getting school districts to add the sport of wrestling to their athletic programs.

The University of Sioux Falls has announced that they're adding both a men's and women's wrestling program, starting in the Fall of 2023.

Pierre TF Riggs made history at the 2022 state wrestling championships in Sioux Falls by winning the first-ever girls' state wrestling team title in South Dakota history. Last year was the first season of a sanctioned high school girls wrestling division in the state, and this year the number of girl wrestlers increased enough for there to be ten weight classes.

With seven state football championships at two different schools, and experience coaching basketball and cross country, Arlin Likness has built a legacy as one of South Dakota’s most accomplished high school coaches. He joins Craig Mattick on this episode of In Play.
