Chubby Carrier has been called the “premier Zydeco showman." Hailing from Louisiana—the birthplace of Zydeco music—Chubby is the third generation of Zydeco artists in the Carrier family. His cousins Bebe and Calvin Carrier are also considered Zydeco legends.
Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band have traveled the world and recorded nearly a dozen albums. In 2011, their album “Zydeco Junkie” won the Grammy for best Zydeco or Cajun music album. And in 2016, they brought some Louisiana flavor to the plains.
