Dan Mahar learned to play guitar by listening to radio stations like WLS and WCFL during a time when AM radio was the place to go to hear the latest hits.

He also began to see how his favorite songs were influenced by America's great blues artists.

During his career, Mahar has also played as the lead guitarist for country music star Billy Dean.

Mahar plays Friday at Fernson on 8th and Saturday at J.J.'s on 57th in Sioux Falls.
