For today's Moment in Sound we welcome a leading musician on the Nordic folk music scene ahead of a performance Saturday, November 16 at the Canton Depot Museum as part of the Carnegie Center for the Arts in Canton.

Vidar Skrede has an extensive background in traditional music and a master degree in Nordic folk music from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. His recordings have been honored at the Norwegian Folk Music Awards and the Finnish Grammy Award.

He joins us today from the Kirby Family Studio inside SDPB's Sioux Falls Studio.
