The Strand Theatre | Dakota Life

SDPB visits the legacy of the 100+ year-old Strand Theatre, which began with a vaudeville stage and a screen. Its young projectionist, Ivan Besse, gained national attention long after he shot 16mm footage of Britton’s citizens during the Great Depression. Today, Tom Farber, who has owned theatre since 1989, tells us about the importance of a movie theater in a small town.
