BHSU students learning a new way to teach DNA sequencing.

This interview originally aired on In the Moment on SDPB Radio.

Yun-Seok Choi, Ph.D., says it can be hard to fully grasp the principles of DNA sequencing. That's where pop beads can come in.

He and his students, including alumna Kylie Light, published a paper on a new way to teach sequencing. Choi and Light discuss the fun new approach and the importance of the scientific concept it teaches.

Choi is an assistant professor in biochemistry at Black Hills State University.
