Net neutrality is the idea that no providers of legal internet content should face discrimination in providing offerings to customers, and that users should have equal access to any legal content.  Today the Federal Communications Commission is expected to publicly release proposed rules about the future of an open internet.  Last month the FCC said it would propose rules that would allow service providers such as Verizon or Comcast to charge more for outfits like Google or Netflix to use higher download speeds while others are stuck in slower lanes.  Critics say this would kill the principle that all internet should be treated equally.  Amos Aesoph, network security sales engineer at SDN Communications, and Kent Osborne, SDPB Director of Online and Education and host of Tech Radio, visited about the current debate and potential fallout.
