Explore Indigenous culture, history, and storytelling through Chief Eagle’s renowned Hoop Dance. Starr Chief Eagle has been performing hoop dances for over 25 years, learning the traditional dance before she even knew how to walk! Today Chief Eagle uses her dancing to share Lakota Culture in hopes of restoring and maintaining it for generations to come. Everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments generously provided by the Wo’takuye Oyate Kinship Center and the Friends of the Aberdeen Public Library beginning at 6:00 PM with performance to follow at 6:30 PMWhen: Thursday, Oct 9th Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM Ages: All ages & their families Registration: No registration required.
