Aberdeen Christian senior guard Jett Johnson is spending the last few months of his high school career soaking in every moment he can with the Knights boys basketball team. Despite being involved in football as well, basketball is the sport he remains most connected with. But Jett’s journey as a leader starts well beyond the court. He’s leaned into his faith as a Christian, which he credits for making himself the person he is today.

Another year is in the books, but it's safe to say 2025 didn't disappoint. It was filled with some fantastic moments at the SDHSAA events. We wanted to share some of SDPB's favorite memories from the year.

The 2025 SDHSAA state volleyball tournaments continued on Friday, November 21st, from Summit Arena at The Monument in Rapid City with semifinals and consolation semifinals.

At the high school volleyball tournaments this week, you’ll see plenty of sisters playing along side each other on the court. But the sister’s connection also extends to the benches when you look at Ronette (Metz) Costain of Harrisburg and Stacey (Metz) Knebel of Wagner. Both are head coaches with their teams at state, but for different schools.
