In the most recent edition of Sports Illustrated, Shayla Howell of Belle Fourche was featured as one of their ‘Faces In The Crowd.’

Howell is currently a senior at Belle Fourche high school. This past spring she won Class A Track Championships in the Triple-High Jump, the 100-meter dash, and the 200-meter run.
Here’s her 100-meter yard dash finals run from the 2017 State Track and Field Meet.
Additionally, Howell is a stand out rodeo competitor as well. At the 2017 South Dakota High School Rodeo Association finals, she won the second go-round pole bend with a finishing time of 20.986.
